Bubba Smith – Ranch
Manager/Wagon Boss Bubba
was raised in the Texas Panhandle. He
has worked on numerous ranches in Texas, New Mexico, and Montana – including Moorhouse
Ranch, Pitchfork Ranch, Holt Brothers Ranch, WT Waggoner Ranch, and the
Binion Ranch. He came to work for TRR
in 2001 and has been continuously improving the bloodlines of the breeding
stock on the ranch. Bubba and his wife
Carrie are active members of their church, and feel blessed to be able to
raise their 3 children, Margaret, Julianna, and John David around all the
great people at TRR. Aside from his
church and his family, Bubba also enjoys raising Greyhounds, hunting coyotes,
team roping, competing at ranch rodeos, and is a big fan of Atlanta Braves
Baseball. Charles Neskorik –
Cowboy/Maintenance Charles
came to Dumont in 1950 with his parents to the PK Ranch. He lived in the Dumont area until 1961 when
he moved to Paducah. In the ‘70’s and
‘80’s he dayworked almost every weekend for ranches in King, Motley, Dickens
and Cottle counties. Along the way he
picked up carpentry as a trade and that, along with cowboyin’, has supported
him for 35 years. Charles has worked
for Triangle, Wylies, and Bird Ranches, and has been with TRR since
1998. Not only have his cowboy skills
been put to good use at TRR, but his carpentry skills have, too. Charles is married to Joy who worked for
TRR for 8 years before retiring in 2008.
They have 5 children that range in age from 18-42. Charles enjoys hunting, fishing, golf and
most any other sporting activity. Stoney Jones – Headquarters
Cowboy Stoney
grew up in Old Glory, TX where he worked with his dad starting and training
colts. He has cowboyed for several
ranches in Stonewall, Knox & King counties including –S, J3 Bradley
Ranch, 6666 Ranch, and Riddle Ranch.
He first came to work for TRR in 1999, but left in 2004 to help his
father, Monte, after he had been injured.
Stoney and Monte worked together as Jones Horse Training until 2007
when Stoney returned to TRR. He has
won numerous awards including 2001 and 2003 Top Hand, and 2006 Reserve Top
Hand at the WRCA Ranch Rodeo World Finals. Stoney is married to Sammie and
they have 3 boys; the twins Cutter and Cooper and the youngest son
Casen. Stoney enjoys competing at
ranch rodeos and spending time with his family. He and Sammie lead the Youth Bible Study at
the First Baptist Church in Guthrie, and Stoney says, “God has blessed me so
much & I am thankful for every day.
He has allowed me to make a living doing what I love.” Ty Smith – Scott Camp
Cowboy Ty
grew up on ranches in the Texas Panhandle.
He graduated from River Road High School in Amarillo, and attended
Frank Phillips College where he competed in saddle bronc riding on a
scholarship. He started working at TRR
in 2004 as the North Camp cowboy, and in 2008 moved to Scott Camp. Other outfits he has cowboyed for include
6666 Ranch, and the WT Waggoner Ranch.
Ty enjoys working with young horses and looks forward to the new colt
crop every year. He also likes
competing in ranch rodeos and ranch horse competitions. Ty and his wife Lacy stay busy raising
their 4 children; daughters, Riley, Cedar, and Cutter, and a son
appropriately named Roper. Glen
Bruton – New Mexico Cowboy Ryan
Rankin – North Camp Cowboy Ryan
is from Roberts County, TX. He was
raised working on a yearling operation and competed in the IFYR where he was
a champion team roper. After
graduation he attended VRJC on a rodeo scholarship and was an intercollegiate
team roping champion as well. He
earned an Associates Degree in Animal Science with a Breeders
Certificate. Ryan joined the crew at
TRR in 2008 after working for the Stafford Brothers Beefmaster Ranch for 5
years. He has also dayworked for many
other ranches including Christie Ranch, PK Ranch, and Matador Cattle
Company. Ryan and his wife Lacey live
at North Camp with their 2 boys Brody and Brogan. He enjoys working with young horses, team
roping and especially enjoys rodeoin’ with his two sons. Rick
Kieschnick – Headquarters Cowboy Rick
was raised in Wilbarger County where he grew up farming and cowboyin’ for his
Dad and other local farmers and ranchers.
He went to college at VRJC on a bullriding scholarship, and had his
PRCA card until 1990. For twelve years
he made his living as a welder. He
always continued dayworking in his spare time, until he was offered a
cowboyin’ job at the 6666 Ranch in the Horse Division. Rick came to work for TRR in 2008 and is
looking forward to competing on the ranch rodeo team. He is married to Crystal, who also works
for TRR as the ranch accountant. They
have a daughter, Riley and a son, Cade, and are members of the Zion Lutheran
Church in Lockett, TX. In his spare
time Rick enjoys watching PBR, team roping and spending time with his
family. |
